Enhancing Accountability
Holding people accountable for results is the foundation of an organization’s performance—it’s management 101. Yet, it appears that there is a gap between knowing and doing.

IDEAS ONPOINT

Are you, or is your organization, facing a significant challenge—developing leaders, managing change, executing plans and strategic initiatives, engaging and retaining talent? Would you like to know how top-performing companies deal with these issues and what factors differentiate the best companies from those that are less successful?

Find out by joining our free email mailing list and request one of our reports related to your area of interest.

In our survey of over 400 leaders, 40% report that employees in their organizations are not being held accountable for results.  It also appears that the presence or absence of accountability in an organization makes a difference—77% of leaders in top-performing organizations report that “employees at all levels are held accountable for results” compared to only 44% in less successful organizations.

What, then, can leaders do to increase accountability and responsibility within their team?

OnPoint’s Managing Accountability Program provides leaders with practical tools to be better able to:

  • Assess their own and other people’s level of accountability

  • Apply techniques to set people up for success and avoid any misunderstandings about “who is responsible for what”

  • Encourage people to take accountability for their actions and the consequences of those actions

  • Help people get back on track when they have missed performance targets or “dropped the ball”

The program is typically used in conjunction with our web-based Accountability 360 which provides useful feedback to help managers target their development needs.  This online tool can also be administered as a self-assessment.
Workshops can be customized to reflect an organization’s culture, environment, and goals. Customized case studies are used to translate workshop topics to real business issues.

Workshops are led by experienced OnPoint facilitators or by your certified internal trainers. The modular nature of this stand-alone program allows for training flexibility, and it is easily integrated into existing leadership development programs.
